Building Custom Everything Home Know Need
Sean Cameron is a fictional high schooler on the television show Degrassi: The Next Generation . He is portrayed by Daniel Clark. He left the show in season four, but returned for season six.
Personality
Sean is the token bad boy at the school. His reputation in the first season is just that due to a fight in Wasaga Beach where he deafened another kid in one ear. His parents were drunks in Wasaga and he was known to be an extreme delinquent there. His attitude is mostly considered anti-social, due to his constant way of starting fights or to be reckless. However, he is sincere and loyal to his friends (for example, standing up for J.T. and Toby when Jay harasses them).
Stubborn to a fault. His bad boy status isn't confirmed until the season three episode "Gangsta, Gangsta" when he starts to hang out with Jay Hogart, he leaves his bad persona and starts to do well in school at the end of season three. After the shooting in season 4, he left Toronto to live with his parents in Wasaga Beach to deal. He returns to Degrassi in season 6 with better plans for his life, such as to graduate high school and open a shop called Cameron's Custom Cars, until he is expelled for drugs at school and sent to jail for several charges.
It is unknown how it was revealed that his middle name was Hope but it has been agreed upon in many different aspects of the show such as character descriptions and even the official fan website.
Storyline
Season 1
Sean shows up after school has started, coming from Wasaga Beach back to Degrassi. He is repeating the seventh grade and living with his brother Scott "Tracker" Cameron. Sean doesn't get along with Jimmy Brooks, who treats him with disrespect due to repeating a grade. He befriends Manny Santos, Toby Isaacs, J.T. Yorke and Liberty Van Zandt. Sean also develops a crush on Emma Nelson, although it's a slow building relationship.
The two finally make it official with their first date, a dinner that doesn't go exactly to plan. Sean relies on Emma to help him get through exams and to lean on with emotional support. But as the pressure mounts, he lashes out. During the long building fight with Jimmy, Sean shoves Emma down as she tries to protest. Emma breaks up with him, leaving both heartbroken. Shortly thereafter, during a party at Ashley's, where Ashley is under the influence of Ecstasy, the two kiss. Emma shows up to the party, but wants nothing to do with Sean. He leaves, torn up about how his relationship with her has been destroyed.
During the original airing and many airings after, Daniel Clark acted as a commentator to this episode. During the commercials, he would tell viewers facts about ecstasy and explain why Ashley was acting the way she was.
Season 2
Sean befriends new student Craig Manning, and along with Emma, helps Craig to get out of his abusive home. Sean struggles to move on from Emma, and briefly considers dating Ashley. They don't when Sean realizes that Ashley is more concerned what others think than doing what she wants to.
The Sean & Emma relationship is sparked again leading up to the wedding between Spike & Snake. Emma chooses not to invite him, despite Manny's objections. Emma ends up inviting him herself when she realizes that she has feelings for him. They end up sharing their first kiss at the reception. Their relationship hits a complication when Sean starts to drink to make himself relax around Emma's family. Despite feeling inferior to her, and ruining a budding friendship with Jimmy, Sean ultimately learns that he isn't a failure and doesn't need alcohol.
Season 3
File:D306.jpgSean starts the ninth grade at Degrassi with a new gangsta look and attitude, he also shows an interest in cars and auto shop. Things get very slow between Emma and Sean while Emma is dealing with her parents new baby as well as Snake's cancer. Sean witnesses Jay Hogart, Towerz and Jay's girlfriend Alex breaking into a vending machine at school and stealing candy. This incident obviously gave Sean an urge to bring back his old bad ways. After Jay mad dogs him in auto shop class, Mr. Raditch pulls him out of class and interrogates him on the theft from the vending machine.
Sean then attacks Jay in the front of the school and the two fight. Although in the principal's office, Jay and Sean share some similarities and Jay asks Sean "You ever want to hang with some real people, your people, not geeks. You let me know." Sean then falls in Jay's gang, and after a fight with Emma, Sean steals Mr. Simpson's new laptop to get back at Emma. At Jay's expense, Sean breaks up with Emma.
Over the next few months of the ninth grade, Sean and the gang will display notorious behavior such as getting in fights, stealing and partying. While Emma was recovering from the break up looking at Sean doesn't help her, she even once noticed Sean with a hicky on his neck, obvious that Sean was meeting new girls.
Sean gets a new girlfriend named Amy, and after Emma sees the two in math class making out, she becomes more jealous. Emma also notices a DVD player missing from school and hears rumors around school that Jay and Sean are stealing things from school. She tries reasoning with Sean, but he says "I know our break up sucked, and I'm sorry you got hurt. But that was months ago, and what I do with Jay and with Amy is none of your business." While on a date with Chris Sharpe she sees the gang steal candy from the Dot, and when Jay asks why she is in everyone's business he implies that they stole the laptop and so Emma tries to get Sean in trouble by getting Mr. Raditch to search Jay's car, while this was a failed attempt, Sean did end up with two months of Saturday detentions for telling Raditch to "go to hell".
In "Accidents Will Happen", as a side story to Craig and Manny's pregnancy, Liberty develops a crush on Sean, and Sean showing absolutely no interest in Liberty, tells her in a very rude way. He may have felt remorse for the situation, so he told her that his friend Towerz showed an interest in her.
In "Take On Me", an episode in homage to The Breakfast Club, Sean, Jimmy, Ellie, Hazel and Toby end up in detention, Sean for mouthing off, Jimmy and Toby for hacking the school computer, Ellie just for a piece for the school newspaper and Hazel for surfing porn on the school internet. Sean takes after Judd Nelson's character John Bender, being the criminal. While the group is running around the school they run up on the roof and Sean and Ellie then sit on the roof holding hands. Though Sean changes his feelings for Ellie when he finds a tape recorder with recordings of him admitting to her earlier that he is behind all the thefts at school, he stomps the tape and leaves. On Monday, Ellie apologizes to Sean and he accepts and the two begin dating.
Sean and Ellie start dating due to them trusting each other with secrets (Sean stealing from school; Ellie's cutting scars). While on a date with Sean, Ellie brings along her best friend Marco, who is gay, and during the date Sean keeps his distance from Marco. Ellie believes Sean is homophobic, and after Sean physically pushes Marco away at lunch, Ellie thinks of dumping him, but Marco thinks that she is taking it too seriously. Ellie approaches Sean, who thinks that the relationship is over, and tells him that she wants to start over; he tells her that he doesn't hate Marco because he is gay, he just wanted to spend time alone with her and is not homophobic. The two then kiss and start over.
Their relationship is tested again when Tracker gets a job in Alberta and wants Sean to move with him; Sean doesn't want to move because he would have to repeat the ninth grade and had already repeated the seventh grade. Sean gets emancipated. Things go well, but then Jay and everyone make the house a place to hold parties. After Amy gets alcohol poisoning, Sean, with the help of Ellie, finally put a stop to the parties. He also admits to Snake that he stole Snake's laptop. Snake, initially hurt, eventually forgives him when Sean offers to fix his broken car for free in labor to make up for his past behavior. The ninth grade ends with Sean in a better place than he was in the previous months.
Season 4
When the tenth grade begins, Sean and Ellie remain close. Ellie starts staying at his house more with her alcoholic mother on the warpath. Sean stands up to Mrs. Nash, and Ellie is allowed to move into Sean's place.
Sean's life changes when Rick Murray returns to Degrassi with a gun to gain revenge on those that have mocked him. He shoots Jimmy and runs into Sean, Emma and Toby. He blames Emma for pretending to like him for his actions. Sean tries to talk him out of pulling the trigger, but Rick still has it squared at Emma. Sean and Rick fight briefly and the gun goes off. Rick is killed, and Sean is declared a hero.
All of Degrassi struggles with the shooting. Sean can't handle being treated like a hero, and mocks the emotions on display. He learns that a reporter has interviewed his estranged parents, and he becomes angry. He and his parents haven't spoken in a long time, and Sean decides to finally confront his past. He, along with Jay, Emma and Ellie drive to Wasaga Beach. Sean meets his parents and the boy that he deafened years before. Tyler, the boy, mocks Sean's involvement in Rick's death, but in the end, the two reach an understanding that the past is the past. Sean also buries the hatchet with his parents. He decides to stay and work on his relationship with them. He tearfully says goodbye to Jay and Emma, and "I love you" to Ellie, who is hurt that
